Which kind of sign is right for you?
Vinyl Lettering: The most "professional" style, giving your ride that commercial vehicle look. For either glass or vehicle body. These 100% vinyl letters, in up to 16 colors, are easily applied all at once with removable film, leaving only the lettering.
Use: For any smooth, hard surface. (USE OF REAR WIPER IS OKAY, BUT WAIT 72 HOURS AFTER INSTALLATION.)
Life & Removal: Lasts up to 5 years. Can be removed with soapy water, a plastic edge, and mild pressure.
Price: $4.95 base price, plus 10 cents per square inch, calculated for you automatically.
Adhesive Stickers: Our vinyl lettering mounted on an adhesive-backed vinyl sheet. Choose from 16 background colors. This bumper sticker style is for car bodies, bumpers, and any other smooth, hard surface. Dark background colors are not recommended for glass, since the heat generated from car interiors can warp the background vinyl of large stickers.
Use: Light background colors for glass, any colors for car body. (Or any other smooth, hard surface.)
Life & Removal: Lasts up to 5 years. Can be removed with soapy water, a plastic edge, and mild pressure.
Price: 10% more than the price of the vinyl lettering alone.
Static Window Clings: Our vinyl lettering, mounted on a clear film that attaches to glass without adhesive. A more temporary, less "professional" sign look, but the entire sign can be removed in one piece, instantly. You can also order "Reversed" lettering on Static Cling film, for inside glass installation (viewed from the outside), but this option is NOT recommended for deeply tinted glass, and use light colors with 1'' text or bigger, so it can be read easily through the glass.
Use: For glass, not for painted surfaces. If on the outside, DO NOT USE YOUR REAR WIPER.
Life & Removal: Lasts up to 2 years. Remove and reuse once or twice (static charge weakens). Store flat on the shiny paper.
Price: 25% more than the price of the vinyl lettering alone.
Magnetic Signs: At a moment's notice you can "brand" your vehicle with any message you like, using our vinyl lettering mounted on a flexible magnetic sheet. Choose from six background colors. These are reusable many times, if stored flat, but only stick to smooth, flat or gently curving metal surfaces, like metal bumpers or side and rear doors. Test your car for plastic with a fridge magnet first.
Use: For any smooth metal surface. Not for aluminum, plastic, fiberglass, etc.
Life & Removal: Lasts up to 5 years. Remove & clean weekly, or any time after it rains, to prevent dirt from getting trapped.
Price: 50% more than the price of the vinyl lettering alone.

NOTE: Life-span depends on road and weather conditions, and if you garage-park your vehicle. But all of these signs will last longer than ones made with ink. Our red vinyl won't fade after six months, like some ink-based signs will... ours never fade!
The four examples below display larger designs, but you can make tiny ones, too... it's all up to you! We make signs from six inches up to six feet long! Just click a "Load & Modify" button, here or on any of our sample pages, and then change the message, fonts, colors, and letter sizes to any specifications you like. Making Readable Signs
Signs, especially those made to be placed on a "moving target" should be designed to be read and remembered quickly and easily. Here are some things to remember when designing your sign.
COLORS & FONTS: Try to keep your design to 1, 2, or at most 3 colors and fonts. Any more than that, especially on smaller signs, creates a "busy" look, which can distract from the content of you message.
Also, lighter colors show up much better on glass, especially tinted auto glass. So if you're designing a Vinyl Lettering or Static Cling sign, good colors for auto glass are White, Pink, and Yellow. Red is also visible, but Black, Blue, and Green are not recommended, especially on heavily tinted windows.
To test this, take a white piece of paper and a dark or black piece of paper (tear an ad with a dark background out of a magazine), and then hold both against the glass. If it's a lot easier to see the edge of the white paper than the black, you're better off going with lighter colors.
TEXT: Fewer, bigger words are much better than many small words. If you have a sign with 4, 5, or 6 lines of small text, and your Web site or phone number is on the last line, most drivers won't ever get that far, so they'll never know how to contact you.
Also, Domain Names are not case sensitive. It's much easier to read a domain name at a glance if it has the first letter of each word capitalized. Look at the following two examples, and you'll see that one is much easier to read and remember, although both will go to the same place. (NOTE: This rule is for domain names only, not for folder and file names, which are case sensitive.)

Finally, if you have a URL that is just too long to fit on a sign, or only fits with tiny lettering, you might want to consider using a URL forwarding service, which will give you a short URL (Web address) that will automatically forward traffic to your long URL.
SIZE: Obviously, when it comes to signs, bigger is better. But it is still preferable to have a smaller sign with just a few words than a bigger sign with many sentences of text.
It is also extremely important to measure the area you want to cover before designing and ordering your sign. And don't run your sign right to the edges of a glass window, or it will look "cramped" and unprofessional. Always figure on leaving at least a few extra inches of empty glass "border" all the way around, and design the overall dimensions of your sign accordingly.
If you have a surface that is deeply curved, large signs may be difficult to install. If you can't lay an equal sized page of newspaper down flat on the surface where you want your sign, without the paper buckling, then you might want to consider designing (or cutting) your sign into thinner horizontal strips, with only 1 or 2 lines of text on each strip.
